migraine; VZV positive; Meningitis/ CNS viral infection; This is a spontaneous report received from contactable reporter(s) (Other HCP). A 32-year-old male patient received BNT162b2 (COMIRNATY), as dose 2, single (Lot number: ER0866) for covid-19 immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. Vaccination history included: Covid-19 vaccine (DOSE 1, MANUFACTUERER UNKNOWN), for COVID-19 immunisation. The following information was reported: MENINGITIS VIRAL (hospitalization, medically significant), outcome "unknown", described as "Meningitis/ CNS viral infection"; MIGRAINE (hospitalization), 2 days after the suspect product(s) administration, outcome "unknown"; VARICELLA ZOSTER VIRUS INFECTION (hospitalization), outcome "unknown", described as "VZV positive". The patient was hospitalized for meningitis viral (hospitalization duration: 8 day(s)). The events "meningitis/ cns viral infection", "migraine" and "vzv positive" required emergency room visit. The patient underwent the following laboratory tests and procedures: Blood lactic acid: Normal; lab: positive for VZV; Lumbar puncture: Fluid was a bit cloudy, 800 mononuclear cells, notes: lactate and glucose normal, protein 180, CSF profile compatible with CNS viral infection. Therapeutic measures were taken as a result of meningitis viral. Description: Arrived to the emergency room due to severe headache two days after vaccination, was discharged from the ER with a diagnosis of migraine. After the pain worsened, he returned to the ER. In a lumbar puncture, the fluid was a bit cloudy, 800 mononuclear cells, lactate and glucose normal, protein 180, CSF profile compatible with CNS viral infection. He was hospitalized in the neurology unit and received viral meningitis treatment protocol. In lab positive for VZV. No follow-up attempts are possible. No further information is expected.; Sender's Comments: Based on the limited information available, there is reasonable possibility of causal association between the events "meningitis/ cns viral infection", "migraine" and "vzv positive" and the suspect drug BNT162B2. The impact of this report on the benefit-risk profile of the Pfizer product and on the conduct of the study is evaluated as part of Pfizer procedures for safety evaluation, including the review and analysis of aggregate data for adverse events. Any safety concern identified as part of this review, as well as any appropriate action in response, will be promptly notified to regulatory authorities, Ethics Committees, and Investigators, as appropriate.
